Question about the Top Rank of Decks
TappedOut forum

I am not sure if I am in the right forum with my question but what exactly are affecting the Top Ranks of Decks? I always thought, that the quantity of upvotes were one reason but I am not sure about it. Thank you very much!

clayperce Thank you for the very interesting and informative comment! You helped me a lot. :) By the way-can you explain what I have to write in my deck-description to let appear those update- respectively "click-and-show"-buttons? I want avoid long Descriptions for page visitors.

ChaosJester,
Glad that was of some use!
Here's the button I use on Serious Ponza:
<a class="vote-link btn btn-success btn-sm" href="/mtg-decks/serious-ponza/vote-up/?rc=True">+1 Upvote</a>
And though it proably goes w/o saying, I'll say it anyways: Please make sure any upvote buttons are VERY obvious. On every Edit page, it says "If you add additional '+1 Upvote' links, please make it clear that's what they are. Decks which contain misleading upvote buttons will be deleted without warning." And the Admins are SUPER-serious about that.
Good luck!

ChaosJester,
Re-reading your note, I think you may have been asking about Spoilers or Accordions, not +1 buttons
For those, check out the Formatting tips link (below the Comment window).

ChaosJester,
I don't think anyone really knows the math behind the Top Decks. Probably because if we knew for sure, folks would game it.
That said, here's some speculation:
TL;DR: I've no real idea on the math. But stuff like this (and quality deckbuilding, of course) is the key.
