Order of cards in decklists

I would like to propose the ability to pick a default setting for the order in which to view cards in a deck if that would be possible. I understand and appreciate that people put time and effort into making custom categories, but they make it difficult to parse for me so I change it to order by type every time. It would be nice to make it so I didn't have to

i have thought about this request for a long time but go back and forth... not entirely sure how to support it, given that the cure is pretty simply to order by something you prefer more, like type.

and to me it is a very dangerous setting that if forgotten about could make the default context of many collections needlessly mysterious and its true, people spend a lot of time on customization and we want to deliver their version.

could you go into what becomes difficult to parse for you a bit more

Well, for example I could be looking for a particular card in a list to see whether or not to suggest it and just don't find it because it isn't where I would expect it to be.

It could also be something where some cards are in multiple categories and it makes it unnecessarily long.

I agree that the easiest answer is for me to just reorder it by type on each one that I find issue with and I am not sure how it would be best implemented if you were to make a change, but it sure would be handy if I could go into my settings and make a default view by setting on my end.

I'm with Ghost. His first paragraph sums my problem up perfectly.

I've come to the opposite conclusion though and just avoid giving advice when there are custom categories. A: It's not worth the added effort to me, B: Custom Categories and where a given card is placed is just opinion and could be (and sometimes is) under many categories (whereas sorted by card type is pretty definitive), and C: some people get kinda pissy when you accidentally suggest something that's already in their deck.
