Linking to Older Versions of Cards

I know for decks, you can specify a different reprint of a card by using the three letter expansion code. This doesn't work in the comment areas when linking to the cards, though. I was wondering if there was a way around this.

Right now I've just been linking to Gatherer when the situation calls for it, but it would be nice to use TappedOut's system if maybe I'm missing something. Thanks in advance. :-)
