Leviathan and MTGO Update

TappedOut forum

Hi Guys!

My name is Vasile Beruica and i'm a Italian Magic Player. Sorry if my English it's not perfect, i'm trying to improve it.

However, i'm here to talk about the Format for the commander decks on Tappedout.

  • On the day of 20th March the administrator of the _Leviathan _format wrote on their facebook page that _Leviathan _will "close" to let the player unite under the flag of 1v1 Commander with MTGO Banlist (Leviathan Post). They will be back only if the players will demand again an alternative format.

So, it's that still worth to have the "Leviathan" format on Tappedout?

  • I usually play 1V1 Commander with MTGO banlist and usually upload every list on Tappedout. MTGO Commander it's played a lot across the world and every day the numbers grow on online and on printed too. In Italy players that come in the store to play MTGO Commander it's increasing every week and month.

But i can't find the right format to upload the decks. There is a "1V1 Commander" and a "MTGO" format but none of them seems correct, the Highlighted Illegal cards are not right. None of the two format have the correct banlist.

So, it's possible to create a "MTGO Commander" format or to update the "1v1 Commander"?

Thanks for your attention.

I think it would just be best to list it as Commander in general since most deck builds are universal. Though I'm not really of MTGO for a slew of reasons.

Well, it's not exactly the same. EDH Commander and MTGO Commander have a lot of difference between the two banlist cause the style to play the same deck it's a lot different.

Same thing between the Duel Commander and MTGO Commander. To have 20 instead 30 HP make players to play lot different and to build the deck in a different way. (A lot of decks can't be played in one or other format).

I'll ignore Leviathan cause it will not be more iproved.

I sually play EDH for fun and MTGO in Competitive Tournaments. But i still can make so less competitive and more funny decks in MTGO too, like a Silas Renn/Akiri deck, Maelstrom Wanderer or Narset, Enlightened Master.

However, what are the reasons that don't let you enjoy MTGO?
