Has This Happened To Anyone Else?

I have been a huge fan of this site and love the community and everything, but for some reason the mobile version has changed. I'm not sure when it did, but it's making it so that I'm just getting frustrated and want to quite the mobile version altogether. It might not be a big deal with some people, but recently I have just lost my will to do anything, so any frustrations are just making me quite stuff I usually love to do.

Anyway, what I was saying was that there have been some slack on the mobile version. For instance, when I try to edit something in descriptions, it makes me go all the way down to the very bottom of text. So I have to keep scrolling up, which is especially frustrating when I try to use coding for certain things. Not sure if it's the site or just my phone, but it's just a pain.

Secondly, before I was able to alter the numbers of cards in deck lists just by clicking the number and moving it up or down using the + or - sign. Now however, it's preventing me from even altering them that way. So I have to go into the deck list and manually change the number, which is even more of a pain because of the reason I gave before. If I have multiple things I want to change, it brings me back all the way down to the bottom of the list.

Don't even get me started on copying and pasting. That is so much of a chore I am getting a brain aneurism just thinking about the subject. Especially if I want to add a picture or 2, but I won't add too many, just because of loading time situations and stuff like that.

And lastly, the chat is kind of a pain on mobile because you either have to wait 5 minutes until it brings you to the conversation where you left off or scroll through everything until you get to the end. Also, when people posts pictures, you can't scroll the chat screen to see the whole picture. It's the same when someone types things without leaving spaces and it goes off the screen. In order to read it, you either have to tilt the device or have them type it again with spaces. What I would like to see is the site has some sort of code to automatically scale the pictures to the device. It's like when you type margin-left:auto;margin-right:auto; to make them centered, but have it do it automatically.

I know coding is very difficult, especially for an entire site. Hell, I try it just for my profile and I still screw things up. I'm just wondering if there was a way, that's all.

The reason I'm bringing this up is because I don't have access to a laptop and my tabletop goes through a whole process if I just want to unwind and build decks while talking to the community. This is actually one of the few sites I actually visit frequently. If I wanted to just check a post or work on I deck, I just head over here and I usually relax. The desktop version works fine, it's just the mobile version that is giving me trouble.

Is anyone else having trouble with the mobile version?

I haven't accessed the site on a phone in something like a year on a regular basis, but if things are as bad as you make them out to be, I pity the mobile users.

Almost exclusively mobile user here.

  1. I'm not having that problem, or at least I don't think so. It might be your phone, or perhaps the coding you're using

  2. I don't use that way to adjust numbers, it's easiest to just go into the edit page and adjust there. Again, I dunno what's up with your phone.

  3. Trying to code on mobile is like trying to use Steam on a 20 year old computer. I'd avoid it at all costs.

  4. The chat thing is annoying - wrapping the text would be awesome.

I don't browse on a phone often, but when I do, I just lurk, reply to comments, and deckcycle. I agree the mobile version isn't great so I do most of my stuff on the computer.

Many of these issues could be due to your mobile device or network speed. Both of these have been a factor in frustrating mobile use for me in the past.

I experience these problems but i'm on a pretty old phone (iphone 4s) so everything's slow lol

I'm not saying things are slow, I'm just saying that they're frustrating. I've had these problems over 2 or 3 different phones, so it's not just this one specifically. It's actually pretty quick surfing online, so I'm not sure what the problem is exactly. I only code my profile, but I have the code that makes the coding useless when someone accesses my profile so it doesn't mess up their phones. The rest of my deck lists don't really use coding. So honestly, I'm not sure why these things are happening. I might just have to get a laptop.

oh. i'm just saying i experience those problems and my phone is slow so its a double whammy. I only ever use it to read comments and deckcylce

Oh, I also noticed that I'm not able to suggest cards to add to decks. I used to be able to, but now I can't for some reason. Is this a site error or just a phone error?

I think some people have it so you can't make suggestions on their decks
