Hey, quick question.

I know how to customize the username, but where do people find such cool fonts? ex. Blizzicane. I've been stuck using Impact for the past year...ugh.

Thanks!

Just remember, when using non-regular fonts it will show as "cool" only if the other user also has that said font on his computer. For example with Blizzicane, for me that font is the regular font, same as rest of the texts. I assume he is using something else or you wouldn't have used him as an example.

Luutamo That is very strange. The method he's using should work in any case. Does Hellsing also look like the regular font for you?

Just google "web-safe fonts." There's a site out there that gives you compatibility readings to the percent per operating system.

In order to use the more unusual fonts you are required to know the proper coding, and that can take a while.

Blind_Guardian, the style you guys have made your code only works on chrome. You need all the other fonts types in order to be seen on other browsers.

Blind_Guardian, yes. I can see a different font in Hellsings and yours name. Also, the gloving effect (which is, btw, awesome). I remember seeing a different font in Blizzicanes name too but that was some time ago. Using Firefox (last post was from tablet, this from pc).

Femme_Fatale Sigh...need to re-write the code then. People should not use Internet explorer. Mozilla seemed to display the fonts and applied effects correctly but I'm not sure if it does that for everyone.

Okay, checked out this page on chrome. Blind_Guardian and Hellsing looks the same, Blizzicane doesn't.

Luutamo Well that explains why. Chrome or Firefox for phone/tablet is not as good as the original.

Blind_Guardian my tablet is Asus transformer so it has Windows 8.1, the same version pc has :) And it looks just the same in pc.

Luutamo Still strange.

I actually already have the code Blind_Guardian. It works for IE, Firefox, Chrome, Andriod, iPhones and tablets. Just make sure you have the right files, and insert the urls in place of the ones I'm currently using. Go to fontsquirrel.com if you wish to get the right file types for your fonts. Be sure to make sure that you have the legal right to use the font!

Damn it.

Oh, and if the font is greater than say, 70kb in size, it is best to gzip it to decrease its size. Sometimes that can cause problems too.

I have been summoned! after reading all this it seems I need to update my own code so thanks Femme! :3

Okay, so I right-clicked on Blind_Guardian's name and selected inspect element. Then, I put it into the Username Customize box just to see what would happen, but where it shows the username preview, it only says Error. I really don't know coding, so I'm really confused.

You have to learn how the box works :3

I don't want to be advertising these name things. They make the webpages really slow to load. So I strongly suggest to viewers to NOT use the animation effects that others are using.

Ok, sure. I'll just stick with a font like Papyrus and leave it like that.
