Deck Completely changed, upvotes preserved from when it was a different deck??????

I've been looking around at decks similar to mine for inspiration. A while ago I came a across a very similar deck that had been around longer on the site and had a decent number of upvotes, around 100. I commented on it saying I liked the deck, but later while looking through the changelog for the deck I realized that the deck used to be completely different. Not even the same colours or purpose as a deck. It seems like the owner wanted to keep the number of upvotes and basically apply them to a different deck by changing all the cards in it.

I don't really know what I am asking here but I wanted to voice that this made me feel bad and seems wrong to me

Hmmm that's interesting but I dunno what advantage it would give them. Is it visible in their change history

yeaGO Yes the change history is visible and it is how I know the deck used to be different. I understand that at the end of the day it's not a huge deal. It just felt a bit underhanded to me. Like if someone gave something their stamp of approval and then you took that stamp and put it on something else? I upvoted it after all the changes (which I was unaware of at the time) but I still feel like I was tricked somehow? I am trying not to be petty over something like upvotes but I'd be lying if I said this didn't bother me.

yeah its a weird thing to do, but i don't know why they would annihilate their old history just to give the appearance their new deck did well in the past. it doesn't give it any bonus if the votes don't come in recently.
