Deck Builder Card Versions

TappedOut forum

Hello, I couldn't find a Deck builder section and this seemed like the best place for my quandary.

I have Armor Thrull for my deck, It was printed in one set but has 4 artworks. Is it possible for me to change which art is displayed in the deck builder and if so, how?

Or does Tapped Out only provide 1 art for each card per set?

When you add the card to the deck there should be an option for what edition you want it to display.

Hey, on this site there's only one image per card per set. Even if there's more artworks for a card such as basic lands only one of the artworks is used as the image for the card. If the artwork that's for Armor Thrull is not the artwork you want to use then the only way to use that artwork is to make an alter of Armor Thrull.

There are currently no alters for Armor Thrull view the alters here

http://tappedout.net/alter/add/ here's the link to add an alter for Armor Thrull. To do this you will need a card sized image of Armor Thrull, save the image to your desktop. If you already have the card artwork you want to use then great, but if you don't you can find it here

Wish people would stop recommending alters for things which aren't alters.

Also, that's not true, set code variations exist. Please report just missing images in the missing card thread.

People keep recommending alters to use different card artworks because we don't know another way. This is news to me. Where on the site is this information, that there's another way to use different card artworks from a set? This is a great feature, but how do you use it? Perhaps this information should be added some where important such as the "Read Carefully!" box at the add alter page.

How do you use set code variations? What's the code that's put after a card? Can you search different artworks for a card from sets like you can for an alter for a card?

Thanks yeaGO, I see it now and understand how to use the code. Sorry for my confusion. I will stop recommending to use alters now for different card artworks.

Just to clarify, because I didn't understand and I'm sure others don't either. If we want other artworks for a card in a set we have to comment in the Official missing/incorrect card/token thread? Do we just say what card and what gatherer ID for the different artwork we would like you to add to the site?

you can comment there or you can add the variations for yourself in the card submission. yep all that is required is an image, a set number, and a gatherer id

yeaGO can you just make it 1,2,3,4 etc for the variations? A lot of people do not know what the gatherer/wizards ID is.

We can support either one currently. With a small fix we could even support a nickname.

I might wanna do a/b/c instead of 1/2/3 so as not to conflict less with gatherer ID, but that's not supported yet either
