Dates Gone Wrong

Apparently, Magic 2014 was released on June 19, 2014.

So someone decided to change the date on Magic 2014 to make it standard legal, and not the date on Magic 2015.

Also, I've kinda given up on fixing the card database. I've been waiting 3 weeks for my submissions to get accepted. What's going on?

The cards that I did fix 3 weeks ago were the D's and E's, as I wanted to test the quality of different jpg size images before going any further to make sure every submission is in tip-top quality.

I'd love to get back to work on this, but if no one is even gonna bother accepting the submissions I don't see the point.

Sorry, make that July 19th, 2014. Not June.

I'm going to ask yeaGO to limit submission privs to admin-approved users. This is the kind of thing we really need to avoid if we want to be taken as a serious resource.

@Femme_Fatale: I'll work on adding privs to your account so you can view and accept card submissions.

So now card additions/fixes can only be implemented by admins?

Welp, there goes any chance of me being useful.

I think that admin feature is going to be a lot more lax. So a lot of the accepted and helpful users like Dritz and ShadowLand will get the privileges.

@GoldGhost012: Not yet. I'd like to have a special subclass of users with card-adding privs. This way, we can make sure that the only people updating the DB are the ones that are actually doing it properly. These users won't necessarily have to be admins.

@Femme_Fatale: M15 and M14 have been fixed. I'll get to your privs either later tonight or at some point tomorrow (I'll notify you when it happens). I just need to figure out which combination of settings gives you what you need.

Yay that means no more badly cropped card pics in the future. Which reminds me I have a list of those to fix I need to get to uploading again. :3

Whoops, I changed that date due to another forum post. Card submissions have a bug that I've fixed but need to release before I can accept them.

Oh. So submissions are bugged. Gee.

That does explain why a bunch of attempts I made to submit the correct art for cards might not have gone through. There's a lot of card art not in the database, and a bunch of cards have a ton of wrong information for M15, like on Will-Forged Golem , for which I had submitted corrections. The Golem is particularly noticeable because his sorting category is undefined, which makes decklists with him look strange.

This has been an issue for a long time nobu_the_bard. And considering the bug, it makes sense that admins wouldn't have been able to accept the submissions.

I have every single M15 image cropped already and ready to use, so it shouldn't take me long to do them all. Give or take a few days, once this fix is released.

Now that Epoch has given me admin status for submissions, I can say one thing that has prevented submissions.

Ornithopters.

Clicking the submission page gives me ornithopters. So hence, a bug that has prevented things from happening all this time.

The rule book for Ice Age taught me to never trust Ornithopters, but I let my guard down. I should have known better!
