Can't Use Show/Hide Post Options

I'm looking to write a primer for my deck in hopes to get more constructive advice but I've run into a problem. I don't know if it's just me doing it wrong, but none of the three I'm able to work. In fact, even when I just copy and past them as is, it doesn't seem to work. I'm hoping someone might have an idea what's going on.

I'm on a Google Chrome browser btw.

Using the code button, show us here what you have typed up. We will have a better idea on how to help if we can actually see what you're talking about.

First, thanks for responding. I'm sure I'm just missing something but I can't figure it out. All I'm doing is really copying and pasting from the format guide but they are coming out funky.

First Method

spoiler_id1').style.display=''; document.getElementById('show_id1').style.display='none';"> SHOW

spoiler_id1').style.display='none'; document.getElementById('show_id1').style.display='';"> HIDE

Content goes here. The content will be hidden until the "SHOW" text is clicked.

Second Method

Content goes here. The content will be hidden until the "Show" button is clicked.

Third Method

Summary goes here. The summary text will be displayed and may be clicked to reveal the spoiler text

Content goes here. The content will be hidden until the summary text is clicked.

sorry, we should probably update as show/hide spoilers are now done using the accordion syntax instead of that. look in any comment or description field for the icon shortcuts to achieve it.
