Arbitrary obligatory 'prototype'.

I was building a Scarecrow tribal Commander deck (Dingly Dangly) and have Painter's Servant specifically in the sideboard because it's not technically legal in the format, though some playgroups would still allow it. I can't set the deck to not be a prototype.

Meanwhile I have another deck (Topdeck of the Century (Mk II).) with a Commander that isn't even Legendary and the site says that this deck not only can be removed from my prototypes, but is also 100% legal in the format.

I don't think Tappedout searches for card types whenever you make a deck, it just looks to see if you have a commander and accepts it.

With the Painter's Servant have you tried taking it out, setting the deck to prototype, and putting it back in?
