I made a Torgaar turn 3 win deck before RNA, and now its a little less janky, but still pretty jank. Anyone else find some turn 3 wins?

I'm pretty sure you can storm off with Runaway Steam-Kin and Skirk Prospector , but you would need to have a perfect hand and perfect draws. I think Skewer the Critics and Light Up the Stage make it a bit better, but it's still very unlikely.

t1: mountain, Ghitu Lavarunner . t2: mountain, Runaway Steam-Kin , attack. Opp at 19. T3: mountain, Cast Shock and 2 Skewer the Critics / Wizard's Lightning , opponent at 11. Attack with both for 6, opp at 5. Remove counters from steam-kin and cast any combination of 2 spells that add up to 5 damage or more (eg Shock and Lightning Strike ).

10 cards on t3 for 20 or more damage.

@Boza I quite like that, it does require impeccable luck, but it does seem fun.

Is there a turn 3 win deck in standard or any format for that matter that does not require incredible luck?

RNA, aside from spectacle, does not have any cards that help you cheat on mana or draw cards cheaply, so there are very few fast combo enablers in that set.

I mean, the one i created requires only 8 cards so its way better than 10

Turn 1: Green/black mana, into Llanowar Elves Turn 2: red/black mana, into goblin instagator, and one more llanowar elves Turn 3: green/red mana, tap a llanowar elves for the green but dont use it. sacrifice that llanowar and the 2 goblins for Torgaar, playing only the 2 black, and keeping one mana open for 1 red. Play titanic growth on torgaar, and then play thud. dealing 11 damage. Torgaar turns any amount of life for the opponent into 10 so dealing 11 damage is more than enough. There are possible switch out and extra cards to make the combo more likely to happen, which could be a lightning strike instead of titanic growth, or saproling migration instead of goblin instigator.

There's lots of decks like that, if format is not important. My own deck (Death in the Shadows) in Pauper:

Turn 1: Swamp, Dark Ritual , Dauthi Slayer , Predator's Gambit

Turn 2: Swamp, Phyresis , attack for 4 Poison Counters

Turn 3: Predator's Gambit , attack for the win

7 Cards, many of which can be replaced. The deck can also win by turn 3 with Rite of Consumption by going for damage instead of infect. Does require some luck, but not too much, Dark Ritual is the main thing you need.

in standard not so much but modern you can get quite a few. My modern deck COMBO Druid tries to combo of quickly and has hit turn 3 win on a variety of times. My other modern favourite is Freed from the Real , Utopia Sprawl and Arbor Elf . In other formats you can have t1 wins. or the unofficially named t0 win in legacy which is winning in the other persons t1 upkeep when you go second!
