The Control Mirror Breaker

After the pro tour was ecstatic. I love playing control decks in every shape and form and the fact it was a control deck match for the final was beautiful. But then I sat down and thought to myself as a control player how do beat this? Is there any one card in standard that in the control mirror it lands and just says I win? And then I remembered this guy .
Sphinx of the final word has insane potential in the coming months if the metagame shifts to longer grindier control matchups. Literally everything about this card reads "there is no control mirror. 5UU is not a large price to pay post side. board for essentially an I win button. He can't be countered has hexproof and gives uncounterability to all your spells. And he's a flying 5/5 so you know he can end games fast. And against all the sac removal you can just hold up that mana for your uncounterable dispel or negate.
So what do you guys think is he good bad or the ugly? Am I just some crazy person or is there real potential here?

I've been playing blue control for something like a year now and Sphinx of the Final Word has been in my sideboard from the beginning. Sphinx has done real work against the control mirror; I've rarely lost a game when I land him.

G2 would be essentially yours, since they'll definitely board out there mass removal against you. I'd give him a shot.
