Standard Rotation Thoughts?

As the name implies, what's your thoughts on the Ravnica block rotating out? This is personally an exciting time for me, being a player that started with the Theros block and M15. It's going to be interesting watching standard change completely, with different archetypes falliing and new ones arising.

What's your thoughts on rotation with the spoilers for M15, and of course speculations for Khans of Tarkir?

Rise of mono color decks. Specifically white

I think it's too early to speculate about post-rotation Standard at this point, since rotation won't happen until Khans of Tarkir releases and we know basically nothing about that set.

I'm not sure we will have a "rise of mono colored" decks. Pre-Mana Confluence we saw a ton of MBD, Mono Black Aggro, MUD, and RDW. We've HAD lots of mono colored decks.

With Mana Confluence and the Pain lands being reprinted, there's no reason mono colored decks should outclass 2 and 3 color decks. In fact, since Mana Confluence was printed we've already seen a lot more multi-colored decks.

As for specifics, we'll just have to wait.

My thoughts on rotation: it's several months away. I'm trying to qualify for the limited tourneys still

My thoughts on standard rotation: no offense, but people think about standard too early.

Mirroring some of the other comments already, knowing what's leaving and what's in M15 still tells us very little about what the format will look like when Khans cycles in. I think the best you can really do is look at what cards are currently strong by themselves and make predictions on what's going to continue to see play or what might see play as a stronger card in the same slots rotates out.

If you look at something like the Theros block constructed Pro-Tour, you can begin to make some deductions that the future of Standard will likely contain a heavy amount of Courser of Kruphix , Hero's Downfall , Thoughtseize and Elspeth, Sun's Champion .
