Prophetic Flamespeaker, What deck abuses him the best?

Hey guys, just wondering if the people of TO could maybe come together and help a fellow player out.

Prophetic Flamespeaker

love this card. Awesome art, awesome abilities, awesome flavor. I drool over this card.

I have been brewing with him online a tad bit (M15 standard) and I want to abuse this card and have fun with it so bad, yet it seems that the build I am running just isnt firing on all cyclinders.

I have been running him in a experimental mono red burn-ish deck, and when the deck runs well, it runs awesome, and has the ability to close out games VERY VERY fast.

Why not just run RW burn you ask?Well mainly bc A) not really in the mood to go buy lands for the deck, especially with M15 around and other goodies I want. B) I mainly play competitively with my RWU control and Mono B Aggro, so this build is sort of my way of having fun, in a way that has alot of potential to win. C) I dont know if Prophetic Flamespeaker really belongs in RW burn.

SO the question is, what type of deck would enchance this dude to his full potential, that also can competitively play and keep up with others?

Mono red burn?a enchantment type build?Mono red aggro with Flamespeaker topping the curve??

Thanks in advance guys, really looking forward to some help on this one.

BTW. M15 Cards are ok to encourage or suggest!!

Fire to destroy. Fire to create.

Probably either GR Aggro or RDW if I had to guess.

In any deck you run him in, Flamespeaker should top the curve. That way when you get the potential 2 cards to cast, they'll be low cost and easy to cast. Things like Shock , Lightning Strike , and Madcap Skills are particularly effective.

You can run Prophetic Flamespeaker in an aggro/burn deck to keep drawing gas, but I think the best place for him is in a Jund or possibly Naya midrange deck. Removal spells on opposing creatures let you get him in to generate card advantage, which lets you grind out a game with planeswalkers and removal spells alongside big creatures. I'm not sure of M15 additions, but Polukranos, World Eater , Hero's Downfall , Xenagos, The Reveler , Sylvan Caryatid and Courser of Kruphix are great places to start with such a build. Chained to the Rocks or Banishing Light are probably the removal spells of choice in white if you go Naya.

I'd go something like RW Enchant/Bestow/Heroic aggro. Something with Madcap Skills and Ethereal Armor and any cards that work well with those. Anybody's thoughts on what I just said?

i think hes best in legacy in Moggcatcher stompy. anyways thats besides the point he seems awesome with Phytoburst Ghor-Clan Rampager Zhur-Taa Swine . and Flesh//Blood. sorta a brave gruul build.

I'm not sure why people like him with Ghor-Clan Rampager . The two are not good together. Prophetic Flamespeaker already has trample and GCR can not be bloodrushed when exiled with his ability.

Cards that do work really well with him are:

Giant Growth and Titan's Strength do wonders. Being only a 1cmc spell is a huge deal when running a deck that curves out a 3. They can be cast off of exile complicating blocking for your opponent. The scry from TS helps you get value from his exile ability.

Bow of Nylea is nuts with Flamespeaker. Giving him deathtouch on attacks makes him pretty tough to kill in combat and allows him to push damage through triggering his ability. Adding a +1/+1 counter to a doublestriker each turn is nothing to scoff at.

Courser of Kruphix is great at helping manipulate the top of your library to garner more value out of Flamespeaker's ability.

I personally run him in a Jund deck.

He works well with the new convoke pump spell whose name I forget.

Block, tap, pump, win.

Alot of cool suggestions. I really like the idea of bloodrushing him.

I have been trying him in mainly mono red builds because I really dont want to go and fork out the money for the lands, especially since im trying to wait and see how the meta shifts locally and on a bigger scale.

Trying a mono red aggro build mainly, with him at the top of the curve, lots of fun creatures and burn/pump.

So far it is fun, but Green decks Especially Nissa, Worldwaker give me lots of trouble.

Not sure if you read over my suggestion in the mountain of "Play Titan's Strength and Madcap Skills " suggestions, but Prophetic Flamespeaker is very solid in a Jund midrange deck with removal for opposing creatures to allow it to get through and generate card advantage to grind out a win. Jund Monsters already plays Ghor-Clan Rampager , so playing Flamespeaker is a very solid choice. The main benefit of the card in my mind is its ability to draw you extra cards, an effect that is best used in a midrange style deck. Naya or Jund is your best bet for this style.

thispersonisagenius thanks alot man, I definitely am gonna brew most likely a naya, and if it blows me away I will most likely trade for the lands and get what I can.

I mainly like naya for the appeal of Ajani's Presence

With M15 i can see a red white shell with Ajani Steadfast being able to pump him up. You have chained to the rocks, cheap burn spells and 1-2 casting cost creatures.

A good deck to put him in would be something similar to an infect deck, where you would just load him up with buffs. You would go through cards quickly, but you would also get them, a fun little thing would be if you buffed him a few times, dealt damage to a player, flamespoke another buff spell, and went for lethal.

so red green. I saw a really cool deck that ran enchantments like that one that buffs a creature for each card in your graveyard, so you could attack with him, play a Boon Satyr on him, constellation would trigger, you could throw another buff spell on him, and you would have a 12/12 trample double strike attacking for lots of damage.

LordOfDispair any link to the list or some cards included?
