Polymorphist's Jest

In such a creature-heavy meta, I can really see Polymorphist's Jest shine in a control or tempo build. You'd probably need to run decent creatures with it so that you can block and kill after using it as a combat trick. Honestly, I can see it as a sideboard in Jeskai. It blows out Goblin Rabblemaster if it attacks (cast Jest in response to Rabble's +X/+0 trigger, now the attackers are frogs, not goblins), lets you block & kill Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker , makes polukranos worldeater a lot smaller (and stops its fight ability), lets you block & kill gods (as long as you don't ruin their devotion beforehand), etc. It could also slow down aggro just enough to let you stabilize.

It's kind of bad when you're already behind, but even then it might let you take out their biggest threat.

It can even stop Jeskai Ascendancy combo for at least a turn, even if they've got Sylvan Caryatid in play

I mean, the card is fun and all, I just don't see it being reliable enough to even warrant sideboarding. Maybe a Jeskai Ascen token deck could use this to a good extent though.

I'm using it in the sideboard of my Temur Monsters deck and I usually side it in against any of green-based creature deck or decks with a lot of flyers like Mantis Rider or Stormbreath Dragon and its worked very well so far.

Being able to Polymorphist's Jest your opponent and then monstrous Polukranos, World Eater or Anger of the Gods to wipe your opponent's creatures out can be extremely powerful on a stalled board.

Someone also pointed out that if you control a bunch of 4+ power creatures, you can Polymorphist's Jest targeting yourself in response to Elspeth, Sun's Champion -3 ability to save your creatures from dying (I still haven't done this yet though, even though it sounds hilarious).

Even if you're low on creatures and have some mana floating around, pairing that with an Arc Lightning instantly takes care of 3 of those frogs.

Before Khans was spoiled I tried making a Trample-heavy RUG deck featuring this card as well as the single-target version + burn. Didn't get it to work, but I had a feeling I was on to something. Should probably have another go at it.

I tried it pre rotation with staticaster/first strikers with the gorgon's head deck that was featured on one of the showdowns. It worked in a number of cases, but where it fell flat was against any creature deck that ran +1 counters. They stay. I think it could still work, but I would play it out of the sideboard as a two of at most or run one there and one on the main. In a tempo build you can force your opponent to not overextend into it as you push out the win.

I had an artifact build before rotation that would drop Circle of Flame and wait for all their beaters to come in and play jest. Then dink them to death
