Keranos finished?

with the ravnica block, thankfully, rolling out of standard in september will keranos see any good play? right now he is most used in burn/control decks, but with a lot of good blue win cons such as aetherling, jace and ral zarek rolling out will keranos see play or just end up like mogis, cool to look at but not good to play? an even better question other than athreos will any good see significant play time or be included in a top tier deck?

It's really hard to tell. At least for Athreos, Theros Block and M15 combined hold good support for white weenies and black is still a strong color. It's possible. I think people will be exited to work out various Ajani super friends decks, Garruk control/midrange builds, some creature filled control, maybe BUG lists, and so on. I just don't think there's too much support for Izzet as of now. It also sucks that he's 5 CMC. He often infringes on the slots these decks like to reserve for Stormbreath Dragon .

Red/White/Blue looks pretty alright post rotation.

Elspeth, Sun's Champion and Stormbreath Dragon both represent strong finishers. You could also go for Prognostic Sphinx , for it synergizes better with Elspeth.

Round that up with a LOT of good removal. Reprisal against monsters, Last Breath and Magma Spray against Aggro, Devouring Light against everything, Nullify can catch big Monsters and bestow, while Dissolve does it's job as usual. Don't forget Banishing Light as a catch-all spell and Negate for the board. AetherSpouts delivers the closest thing to a playable wrath effect.

M15 even gave us playable carddraw with Jace's Ingenuity . Now add one or two copies of Keranos as both a drawengine aswell as an additional win condition.

The only problem I see, is the mana base and curve. Sideboard Anger of the Gods is a bit awkward, as well as all these fivedrops...

I will tell you something: when Khans of Tarkir comes out, I bet we either get a reprint of a burn spell or two, or a new one with an old mechanic reprint type of thing, like Elvish Mystic was for Llanowar Elves . Now when the RtR and M14 rotates out, a burn deck loses Young Pyromancer , Chandra's Phoenix , Boros Charm , Warleader's Helix , Skullcrack , and the fringe of Spark Trooper . Yeah, they lose a lot, but you get to add in Shrapnel Blast and Stoke the Flames . You will need to add in Darksteel Citadel for that! which means you will probably want to have in Ensoul Artifact , which means Blue will replace (probably) White as burn decks' best friend. Add in Dissolve and Dissipate or other counter spells, and I see an evolution of the deck instead of a loss of the deck.

That is unless Khans of Tarkir comes out with some killer burn spells.

Ensoul Artifact is a great card, but it really has no place in a burn deck. It's great aggro, but if you're ensouling artifacts, you're not burning.

I think Keranos is, and will continue to be, a strong card. He fits will into my RUG Midrange - Post M15 Superslam deck to get me there when my creatures can't quite make it.
