Infinite combo in rix standard

There's a way to get infinite copys of Polyraptor in the upcoming standard. And you only need 3 cards the polyraptor Forerunner of the Empire and Bellowing Aegisaur I know it's not great but its still seems fun

Heroic Intervention would also work instead of aegisaur

shadow63,
You get a LOT of Polyraptors with that, but not an infinite number.

Bellowing Aegisaur dies after the 5th trigger from Forerunner of the Empire. Forerunner will then die after the 3 more triggers. You'll get 8 triggers total, so unless I'm missing something, you'll "only" get 256 (or 2 to the 8) Polyraptors.

Thorbogl,
Djeru's Resolve or Sheltering Light would work as well, targeting the Forerunner.

Wouldn't it work to have Forerunner of the Empire on the battlefield, play Heroic Intervention and then Raptor Hatchling.

Heroic Intervention would stop everything from dying. Forerunner of the Empire would be dealing 1 damage to everything. Raptor Hatchling would be creating a 3/3 dino with trample. That would be truly infinite, right?

Guess one would have to play intervention on forerunners damage teigger, but yes that would work

Keeping this in mind for pre-release... thanks! Since you get 2 packs of Ixalan in pre-release (For the Sheltering Light or Bellowing Aegisaur), this combo would be possible. :D

Boza says... #9

So, two bellowing, 1 foreunner and 1 poly for the low price of a grand total of 24 mana and 4 cards you get infinite raptors. Call in the next 15 minutes and we will make them infinitely large too!

New huatli's ultimate combo's with The Locust God too. Draw as many cards as you want and have lots of hasty 1/1 flyers

shadow63 says... #11

Boza they are infinitely large because the guy puts +1/+1 counters on everything and if your playing dinos and not playing the cost reducers your playing the deck wrong

January 4, 2018 4:21 a.m.

Boza says... #12

shadow63 Call now and we will add cost reducers to the mix FOR FREE (extra cards not included in free offer)! Call now, save mana!

If you have 4 cost reducers in play, you need just 8 cards and 12 mana to do it! Do not miss out on this deal!

Telemarketing aside, adding cost reducers is diminishing returns to this, since any mana gains you have are negated by the need to have 1 more card to combo out. f you have cost reducers, I have no idea why you would play this over Gishnath, Carnage Tyrant or the new keyword soup dino or even Ghalta.

Just brewed up a deck, [RIX] INFINITE DINO COMBO, enjoy!

Jwillette72 and Thorbogl,
I don't think the Raptor Hatchling combo works like you think it does. Yes, you can create an arbitrarily large number of 3/3 Dinosaur tokens, but you'll only have three on the battlefield at any time, because the others die off as they accumulate damage. You'd need to add something like Impact Tremors to get value out of it.

JerryW72 says... #15

clayperce is it because Heroic Intervention only makes the permanents you control at the time it was cast indestructible and not creatures that enter the battlefield after it was cast?

So you would need the Bellowing Aegisaur after all then.

Jwillette72,
Yeah, that's exactly right. Unfortunately :-\

JerryW72 says... #17

ah, that makes sense. Still a very doable combo, maybe not the most efficient, but still at least it works.

Jwillette72 and Thorbogl,
I'm not sure what we'd do with infinite mana nor infinite artifacts, but Forerunner of the Empire + Heroic Intervention + Raptor Hatchling would be sweet with Pitiless Plunderer :-)

You could make Augmenting Automaton infinitely huge.

Bontu the Glorified could be used to not only kill your opponent, but also scry a bunch.

My personal favorite though would be to use Blighted Bat's ability an infinite number of times to make him extra hastey! ;P

Jwillette72-I've updated my deck,

[RIX] INFINITE DINO COMBO

Standard* jparker-sartori21

and gone towards the Polyraptor route.

Another infinite combo is Fervent Paincaster + Cacophodon + Heroic Intervention/Sheltering Light/Djeru's Resolve. I'm not sure how it wins but its infite XD.

I made a deck using saving grace and sheltering light to trigger the infinite combination.

Wouldn't this combo be used best as a single wincon in an otherwise normal R/G Dino Ramp/enrage build? I think that it would be a lot more consistent and competitive to do that and "just" take the eight polyraptors instead of forcing an infinite with more cards and colors. Also, if you have the original polyraptor haste, would the haste copy?
