countering aggressive decks?

What do you prefer in sideboard to counter the low curve aggressive decks? I've seen decklists with Magma Spray and others with Anger of the Gods and both seem good but i prefer the ability to wipe the slate clean rather than trade 1-for-1. thoughts?

Aggressive decks tends to play some low toughness creatures. Therefore, Anger of the Gods is a really good choice, if you want to swipe the board! :D

Drown in Sorrow , because the name is accurate.

If you're playing white Nyx-Fleece Ram is amazing as a SB card. Not only a solid blocker, but lifegain as well. Even if they burn it after blocking, that's 2-3 less damage coming at your face.

Quick removal. A good burn suite if you have Red, as people have mentioned Anger of the Gods is a good sweeper. Searing Blood is also extremely solid, yet stringent to play outside of mono-red. KTK has a couple sweepers outside Red that appear playable.

Fast blockers are good too. Hand and tempo disrupters are also backbreaking if an aggressive deck doesn't draw an optimal opening hand. Thoughtseize and newly-reprinted Despise are incredible tempo-busters.

Losing on T3 or 4 against aggro is incredibly frustrating. I totally understand this line of questioning. :)

i'm more just trying to decide on the "proper" sb card to beat the aggressive deck as it's my weakest matchup. i've been playing with Anger of the Gods as it's incredibly strong but it also kills my Sylvan Caryatid .

Drown in Sorrow could be good but it doesn't get the 3-toughness spot. so i find myself in this difficult situation

May I ask what three-toughness spot?

All the red aggro creatures fall in between 1/1 and 2/2 and I highly doubt Fleecemane Lion will be an aggro creature in this standard.

I thought Fleecemane Lion is still a pretty premier aggro card...above curve and really hard to kill after monstrous.

Yes, but there's no more Green/white aggro deck around. The color combination can no longer put undercosted idiot after idiot on the board, like in old standard.
