I've been toying around on moto with a BW Nevermoreesk plan using things like Gideon's Intervention, Cast Out and Lost Legacy with something like Approach of the Second Sun as a finisher. Anyone have any sweet thoughts as far as possibly competitive setups?

Main decking gideon's intervention and lost legacy is a plan for disaster. I really want BW to be good but theres just no good win conditions for the deck and if approach is your win condition then its just 100% worse than a UW approach deck. Granted I am someone who refuses to play blue for the most part so I can understand not wanting to play blue but usually to justify not playing blue there has to be something to take advantage of in the other color combination that you choose. For example I am playing a BR midrange control deck right now. I could just play grixis and play a couple counter spells and nicol bolas. BUT one benefit is that playing just BR gives you a couple utility lands (ifnir deadlands), mana consistency, and allows you to play more of a pressure game against other midrange/control decks where a grixis control deck usually would not. But BW approach is just worse than UW, UW has better mana, counterspells, better draw spells, and bigger late game besides approach like gearhulk.

I, and a few other players on this site, used to play Control, but it has now lost so many key pieces that it's not feasible at the moment.
