Looks like Garruk Apex Hunter found a temporary home. Deck looks quite powerful. Whose played against it yet? Thoughts?

There were 3 Jund Midrange decks in the top 32 of the Standard Open running Garruk, Apex Predator . All the hype around Nissa has kept the attention off Garruk, dude's a beast. All of his abilities are powerful and very relevant to the deck.

I had success with a similar build this weekend, The Jund Oligarchy - 2nd @ SCG IQ .

Its very standard playable given the available ramp from Sylvan Caryatid and others.

Yea I was at the open. The final match was pretty fun. He misplayed with garruk once though and it cost him. I played a 4 color super friends list that was heinous as well. I think he will get more play than people originally thought he would. He's so good you find a way to make it work

I haven't been able to get to FNM since the introduction of M15, but as people have been saying, Garruk seems playable in ramp-heavy Rock lists.

I've been considering playing him as a 1-of in my WBG deck Abzan Endures, but I'm not sure if he fits or if I'd be forcing him.

Yes... I had the misfortune of playing this deck and just winning off Merciless Eviction coming in after SB.

Intense matchup, but manageable with fast paced decks.
