What would be better in a Pirate deck Sideboard?

Gifted Aetherborn to hold on longer against Aggro, or Dire Fleet Poisoner to make Control think twice about double blocking Fathom Fleet Captain?

Please give reasons.

Dire Fleet is better. Flash + Deathtouch&+1/+1 and has deathtouch and is a blocker. It has saved me several times. Gifted is good, but for different reasons and does not match the Pirate tribal theme.

Thinking further about it, Dire Fleet Poisoner might be a great response to Earthshaker Khenra, as you can't target a Creature that's not on the field.

Ninjew42 although the tribal theme has some bearing, it's not my main focus for the extra Creature.

The Flash on Dire Fleet Poisoner is incredibly appealing.

I would just LOVE to see two Torrential Gearhulks double block my Fathom Fleet Captain, only to Flash in Dire Fleet Poisoner and apply Deathtouch to both of them.

My idea for Gifted Aetherborn is to get myself out of Lightning Strike range.

That actually happened to me with the gearhulks, except my poisoner got countered :(It is a toss up between the two. If you can why not SB both?

@Argy Generally, Dire Fleet Poisoner will be better. The flash deathtouch can get rid of problematic creatures (looking at you Carnage Tyrant.) Do you have a lot of Mono- aggro in your meta?

We have one Aggro deck, but it usually wins every week.

Take it from an experienced noob, I'd go with Dire Fleet Poisoner. My young MTG eyes see flash + deathtouch + pirate type and says "yes"

We've tested and Dire Fleet Poisoner has definitely been the better option.

Thanks for all the opinions!
