Nexus of Fate combo

Standard Deck Help forum

I’m looking to build a Nexus of Fate combo deck for standard, but I’m a bit confused on how the combo works with Teferi, Hero of Dominaria . How exactly are players taking “infinite” turns with it. I’ve been looking at this for hours and I can’t seem to see it.

You win by milling your opponent while putting Teferi back in your library, this never running out of cards to draw,... AzoriusNexus

So you give them like 40 turns to do something while you’re trying to mill them? I get that if you get your deck down to 4 Nexus of Fate you win, but how is that taking infinite turns?

No, you clear the board, you start comboing, Tick up Teferi, clear the board of all opponents permanents( including lands) then let him draw and play a land, your turn, draw, exile permanent, ...

you use the extra turns to emblem teferi and exile you're opponents permanents as you draw cards or if you feel like drawing out the game cast and then put teferi back into your deck to recast as you keep exiling your opponents permanents.

I get that if I take infinite turns I win with Teferi, but how does the deck take “infinite” turns? Are you just taking an extra turn, hoping you hit your Nexus’s and go that way? I don’t see why you’re taking more than 1 extra turn in a row.

Basically you copy Nexus of Fate 3 or 4 times using Primal Wellspring , then just do that over and over again by putting Nexus back in the library. At least, I'm 99% sure that's how it works.

With 4 copies of Nexus and a flipped Azcanta and the other draw options u hit a Nexus every turn, once you’re down to approximately 40 cards,...

There are several ways of taking infinite turns with Nexus of Fate . Yes, one of the newer ones is using Primal Wellspring but I think those decks want to win off Expansion / Explosion rather than Teferi. I think the deck started out with just Teferi, Hero of Dominaria , Search for Azcanta  Flip, and Chemister's Insight to help draw a nexus when you need it. It also had tons of "fog" effects which is very similar to taking an extra turn against the aggressive creature based decks. Now we also have the addition of Wilderness Reclamation which lets you float mana and activate azcanta an additional time each turn for every copy of reclamation you have. A board state with a flipped Search for Azcanta  Flip, a Teferi, Hero of Dominaria and at least one Wilderness Reclamation would be incredibly difficult to beat without Unmoored Ego or something.

Baisicly, trying to turbofog? I've heard alot about it, but.... I've heard it's kinda jerkish...lol

RightHandofBolas, the deck is pretty insane, I would say it's worth bringing to a tournament if you're looking to win. However if you're looking to make friends, then this deck is NOT for you. This deck is very jerkish, and essentially means the opponent can't play the game while they watch you go off.
