Help me make BR Aristocrats Good

Standard Deck Help forum

What does Red have to offer? Here are some ideas I'm considering...

Collateral Damage: A shoe-in

Alesha, Who Smiles at Death: Bring back Nantuko Husk, etc.

Ashcloud Phoenix: Great top-end threat that works well with Manifest synergies and sac outlets. Aristocrat decks are normally weak to flyers.

Blazing Hellhound: I played a deck like this pre-rotation with Tymaret, the Murder King and he was a beast so... maybe? Probably not good enough but worth a mention.

Infectious Bloodlust: Sac outlets can ensure its trigger, and fodder like Sultai Emissary get a big boost.

Break Through the Line: Probably a one-of for combo Husk blowouts.

What seems good? Other ideas?

You could make it token based. Hordeling outburst, dragon fodder. Priest of the blood rite combos really well with Alesha. Either than that... I don't see why you would play red over the other colours. But good luck m8

Thrown-together idea: No 'Rist it, No Biscuit

I mostly just feel like Collateral Damage is extremely strong in this kind of deck, while the Phoenix is the best flyer in the format for this strategy imo. I'm not really sold on Whirler Rogue-based Blue strategies due to weakness against Instant removal.

why not add white- then you get access to Mardu Charm, Rally the Ancestors, and Secure the Wastes for tokens to be your sac outlets you would even gain gideon and better reomval like Utter End along with Crackling Doom

And with white you get a better sac creature, Butcher of the Horde

While I see the benefits of the four drop creatures you mentioned I would think for an Aristocrats deck you want to keep your deck as far away from four drops as necessary.

I generally agree with the no- 4 drop notion. My mono-Black version topped out at 3. However, I give Ashcloud a pass since it can be cast for 3 if needed, and it was an integral part of the aforementioned Tymaret deck, which was very similar to Aristocrats.
