Buget Esper Control for Grand Prix...

Standard Deck Help forum

So I am most likely going to the New Jersey GP in March, which is standard constructed format. I want to play control at this event, but I also want a deck that does well. I currently am running 6 planeswalkers and no creatures. I'd like some feedback as to how you think this deck might stand up (theoretically anyway) to others at the GP, as well as (and perhaps more importantly) what I can do to make it better. All advice is welcomed and appreciated!

Here's the deck: Budget Esper Control - Kaladesh Standard

Something I would recommend on a budget would be, first I would add some evolving wilds if you feel that your mana base doesnt quite give you everything you need since you run a lot of basics. I would also drop either a blessed alliance or anticipate for a 4th glimmer of genius because that is by far the best card in your deck I promise. Last but not even close to least is I would try to add Grasp of Darkness. Since you dont have a whole lot of dual lands this might be too hard to have double black and still have double blue on turn 3 for Void Shatter but if you think you can do that with murder then I think you should be able to do that with grasp and grasp is just such a good card if you think you can run it I would. You could also try Transgress the Mind its easy on the mana and can give you a proactive play on turn 2 up to three but probably only 2 mainboard. And if you think that you want to run grasp but think its too hard to keep up void shatter you can try Spell Shrivel the card is worse late game obviously but early to midgame has the same effect.

What kind of budget do you have? There are still some decent cards you can put it on a budget. Also, what about sideboard? That would be a place to niche answers like Sphinx of the Final Word for control mirrors. Flaying Tendrils would be a budget version of Yahenni's Expertise to combat aggro decks. You also don't have any answers for planeswalkers. Something like Ruinous Path, Quarantine Field, or even Imprisoned in the Moon could work.
