Kiora's dambreaker is almost entirely worse than Deepglow Skate , except in rare instances where an opponent is one poison counter away from losing the game.
Angrath's anger is awesome, as it is less expensive than Bedevil and also circumvents shroud/hexproof, protection, and indestructibility, but the fact that it is a sorcery means that I prefer bedevil over it, since being an instant is easily worth 1 additional mana and is simply too major of an advantage to sacrifice for a lower mana cost.

I personally think the versatility of Anger gives Angrath the edge over Bedevil but I see your point.

If one or more +1/+1 counters would be put on Mowu, Loyal Companion, put that many plus one +1/+1 counters on it instead.

I am surprised this card is not called "Fblthp, the found", but it is a really nice card. Notably good as a pod target for Vannifar, but also works with vivian's arkbow from the WAR set or heck, even something like bolas' citadel

Whenever Dreadhorde Butcher deals combat damage to a player or planeswalker, put a +1/+1 counter on Dreadhorde Butcher. When Dreadhorde Butcher dies, it deals damage equal to its power to any target.
This dude is going to be a workhorse in Rakdos argo decks

Teferi's time twist really should have added an extra loyalty counter to any planeswalkers that it returns to the battlefield, given the focus on planeswalkers in this set.
Not many legendary creatures have been revealed, thus far, so this may be the first set in which planeswalkers outnumber legendary creatures.

That clip of Lili in battle was almost a direct rip off of the first Dead Island trailer.
It was cool, but they even plagiarised the part with a child dying in reverse.
This is the last expansion set I'm planning to play at prerelease. I'm glad to go out on a Planeswalker high.
Also pleased to see Fblthp get their own card.

So Proteus Staff is spiking because of synergy with new Fblthp, but the new Fblthp leaves the battlefield when targeted.. doesnt the ability of Proteus Staff fizzle if the target is removed? If not ive lost looots of matched that i shouldnt lose back in the day when i played a Polymorph deck :)

Proteus Staff is rising a little but over the last few days Doubling Season has gone from like $35/$40 to around $60...
I wonder if its because of the fake leak from April fools... its spiking now that people know it isn't getting a reprint?

ZendikariWol - sadly with the introduction of "The Wanderer", WoTC would be unlikely to introduce a second PW who planes walks uncontrollably at random so quickly. Though I agree from a flavor standpoint that would be hilarious for Fblthp.

For Amass to really be annoying they have to start spoiling some cards that actually create Zombie Army besides the Amass cards themselves right or have they done that already and I missed it.

dbpunk Doubling season was from a different leak and the artist credit on the bottom of the card said "April Fools".

I've said this before, but I'm super disappointed the Sorin/Nahiri reunion is occurring in this set. An entire set could be dedicated to their conflict; it should not be a sideshow to a bigger issue.
I am curious if Sorin's being Rare and Nahiri's being Uncommon is an inadvertent spoiler that Sorin is going to prove victorious in their struggle.

Atraxa, Praetors' Voice has become much more expensive because of this set, so I am very glad that I purchased a copy of her when her price was low.
Wanderer's strike is strictly better than Spread the Sickness , so I shall replace StS with it in my Atraxa deck; I wish that I could have both cards in that deck, but I cannot, for the same reason that I cannot have both Gavony Township and Karn's Bastion in that deck: there is not sufficient room for all of those cards.
cdkime, I completely agree with you about that, and I shall also add that that is how I feel about Ob Nixilis, as well.

DemonDragonJ Yep but I am thinking of replacing my Contagion Clasp with a Karn's Bastion I removed Spread the Sickness a while back it just was not worth the cost reward pay off but yes Wanderer's strike is a better version. I was pumped about proliferate coming back but so far there are only two worth considering in my current Atraxa, Praetors' Voice deck and then i am not even sure they are Flux Channeler is cheaper less powerful Inexorable Tide ; now Roalesk, Apex Hybrid seems liek it may have a bigger payoff in a game and is more intriguing.
I am hoping for a proliferate payoff card that I am like that is going in my deck. Sad I was more pumped about Simic Ascendancy which is in my deck now then what i seen of the proliferate cards.

hejtmane, I still have Contagion Clasp in my Atraxa deck, since its first ability may seem to be inconsequential, but can be very deadly, especially if a deck has many sources of proliferation.

The flavor text on bulwark giant seems to suggest that Gideon is fond of larger women.

Red creature with basically devour and a two cost white version of Thrummingbird but triggers on player or Planeswalker.

"Red creature with basically devour" = A hellion, 2/2 for , that has an ETB to sacrifices any number of creatures and/or planeswalkers. It gets 2 +1/+1 counters for each one sacced.
Additionally, just spoiled, a 3/3 red/black devil that has the text "When a player sacs a permanent, this deals 1 to any target".

Oh wow...I was definitely not expecting WoTC to make a card for her, but this is so cool!
This card is obviously great against any token strategy, but I love how it can snowball up the P/T chain very easily. Definitely could be an interesting commander for a combined mono-black control/voltron strategy.
Also, welcome the Circus Mayhem Devil. I love that it can trigger off of treasure tokens and other artifacts.

Wow! The first day of previews was amazing! There is simply too much for me to comment on in a single post, so I shall mention what most captures my attention.
First, to simply address it immediately, I dislike that Tibalt is still mono-red, since everything about his character suggests that he should be black/red, but, perhaps, there may be a black/red version of him in the future.
I am very glad that black cards are again causing life loss instead of inflicting damage, as that helps to distinguish black from red, although I do wish that cruel celebrant’s ability gained its controller more life, depending upon the total amount of life lost.
The Wanderer is definitely an intriguing character, given that absolutely nothing is known about them, and I believe that it is safe to presume that WotC is setting up that character to have a major role later in the story. Their clothing suggests that they are from Kamigawa, which would be nice, since a full return to that plane is unlikely to occur in the near future, although they could also be from Tarkir, but there are already two planewalkers from that plane, so I would like to see another from Kamigawa, instead. The fact that they do not have a planeswalker type is very unusual, so I expect that there must be a good reason for that.
Karn’s bastion is awesome, and I am unquestionably putting it in my Atraxa EDH deck, but the only uncertainty there is which land I shall remove for it, which I can discuss in a separate thread.
I wonder if Teferi, time raveler could replace Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir in any decks of mine that have him? His lower mana cost is nice, as is his third ability, but he himself does not have flash, and I feel that granting flash to creatures is generally more powerful than granting flash to sorceries.
I feel that the new Kaya will be very powerful and annoying, so she will likely make herself a target for removal whenever she enters the battlefield. For a very brief moment, I thought that her ability cost only 1 loyalty, but that would have made her unbelievably overpowered if that had been true.
I do hope that Angrath has not allied with Bolas, since there is no reason for him to do so, and he seemed to be a fairly decent character in the Ixalan block.
Flux channeler is very awesome, as she costs 2 mana less than does Inexorable Tide and is a creature (meaning that she can have +1/+1 counters), but the fact that her ability triggers only from noncreature spells, and not all spells, prevents me from putting her in my Atraxa EDH deck, since that deck has a large number of creatures.
I am so excited for this set, and I will await each new day of previews eagerly!
