Sorin Markov

I'm assuming this is the right place to bring this up; my "speculations" about Sorin.
Sorin Markov is my favourite Planeswalker, and he's so badass, one of the most powerful out there, but on MTG wiki it says that Nahiri encased him in stone. Does that mean he's gone from the storyline and cards comepletely or can he escape? This is gonna piss me off, I own all of the Sorin cards worth playing, but I want them to keep printing more. Nahiri's such a bitch, Sorin got his own problems. Now he only has one. But yeah, can someone give me an idea of what's gonna come of this?
Well just to give you an idea of how wotc does things there's a planes walker called Karn, Silver Golem Karn Liberated and he was absorbed by the plane of mirodin and for some reason he's gona be in the next block and that block takes place on the first plane wotc came up with. So sorin is gone for now but not forever

Karn wasn't absorbed by Mirrodin...
He was trapped in the core of Mirrodin during its transformation into New Phyrexia, slowly being infected but alive, until Venser sacrificed himself to give Karn a spark and free him. After which he was not heard of. Until next year, that is.
Sorin will be back. WotC is not in the habit of saying "never." They will always leave room for characters to return, even if it takes years. Elspeth literally died but they heavily hinted that she could be saved from the Underworld of Theros one day.

Its like comic books, they kill off characters for flare then bring them back later for more flare. Cheap storytelling.

He wasn't encased in stone he's got sharp rocks piercing his body but is still alive and can interact with people but can't focus enough to planeswalk. It was Nahiri's revenge for trapping her in the Helvault for 1000 years. here's the story where it happened.

Sorin will most definitely return at some-point likely when Olivia decides to free him.

Thanks for the story, totally baller. How do you think she could do that? She not a lithomancer. I just hope they do it quickly, I can't wait for papa Sorin to kill his bitch, Nahiri!

I highly doubt they'll write him out of the story altogether. Leaving him incased but alive gives them room to bring him back if they need him. He'll be back.
