I heard from the guys who work at my local fnm store that after Ravnica goes out of standard, it will not be reprinted :D its just speculation but I sincerely hope they are correct in this.

What do you guys think? Would it be good or bad?

RTR block won't be reprinted no, but plenty of cards in it will be over time I'm sure.

That would be very bad if at least some cards weren't re-printed. Take Shock-Lands for instance.

Return to Ravnica is actually already out of print now with Theros being released. When Born of the Gods releases Gatecrash will go out and Journey into Nyx will bump Dragon's Maze out of print and so on.

Not sure exactly what you mean here. Wizards is pretty consistent in that it stops printing new copies of cards from sets as they rotate out of Standard, simply because the demand for that product won't be nearly as high. They focus their printing efforts on cards from the new sets that will actually sell.

Just because they're going to stop printing cards from RtR block doesn't mean that those cards will never be printed again. Reprints are never out of the question in future sets.

I'm hoping that the cards aren't reprinted. At least the rares and stuff should stay out

Most cards, especially very block-specific cards (like Trostani, Selesnya's Voice ) will never be reprinted. You don't need to be worried about future sets being flooded with cards you've already seen before.

Some reprints are great, though. The recent reprint of Thoughtseize made Legacy and Modern just a little more approachable for the average player.

Similarly, reprints of cards like Doom Blade give a consistent core of cards that work with what black decks generally tend to do. There's no need to try to redesign basic removal spells, and if they give it a new name just to avoid a "reprint" then someone gets the option to play an 8-Doom Blade deck.

@NobodyPicksBulbasaur then why does Elvish Mystic exist, what what was wrong with Llanowar Elves

Apparently it had to do with elves being plural and u only seeing one ELF. Apparently, also, magic players are becoming dumber with every new block that comes up.

I think it also has to do with the fact that a card called Elvish Mystic can show up in any plane that has elves, while Llanowar is a specific place on a specific plane.
