Quests and Traps Outside of Zendikar?

Some users asked if WotC had considered putting quests in Ixalan, and I myself thought that they would have made sense in the Greek-inspired Theros, but they have not yet been revisited, nor have traps, so I am wondering if those types of cards shall ever return, and possibly outside of Zendikar.

WotC may have felt that traps were too reminiscent of Yu-Gi-Oh, despite M:tG predating that game, but quests are definitely a great idea that could be explored further, I am certain, and there is no reason that they must be limited to a single plane.

What does everyone else say about this? Will WotC ever use traps and quests, and outside of Zendikar?

im sure there are more examples of... lets just say "mechanic borrowing" from Yu-Gi-Oh or other TCG out there than just traps... however imo the concept is still fair game but if its a matter of pride/principle than id say just revisit the idea with a different subtype/keyword like "Lure" or "Gambit" or something... As far as quests are concerned i just love me a "build-around-me" enchantment...i think they create fun and new decks... i would like to see the return of both.

I don't think well see traps again. Players don't tend to use them. They're to relienreliant on the other player. They can do some fun stuff with quest I'd like to see those make a come back

I forgot about archive. Yeah that card is a ton of fun. I wouldn't mind more of them. Especially with a twist of some kind

A 5 and a 6 means MaRo thinks theyre totally doable. In the right spot. I liked traps, but Zendikar was the first plane I really was all in on, so I may be biased. Quests have a lot of space as the uncommon build around card in a draft environment. Theyre fun too.
