we have tribute, which from what i can tell, can go die. it lets an opponent have your creatures enter the battle with +1/+1 counters equal to its tribute number

theres also inspiration, which lets you play permanents from the top of your library whenever the creature untaps and it becomes untapped, but it probably will do something else for different creatures, considering the way its written

I LOVE tribute for EDH, that is gonna make for a political ability. "Hmmm, hey Mark? you want me to fight Rob's creature?" "Sure!"

Inspiration is going to go NUTS with cards like Savage Surge and Triton Tactics .

On an unrelated note, Devourer of Hope gives me hope for Shadowborn Apostle decks.

i could see that inspiration being fun, with all the scrying.

So glad I picked blue for my prerelease color, inspiration is right up my alley. Card advantage on a big flyer for relatively cheap? Yes plz.

The tribute mechanic seems alright as well, very flavorful. I see it going the way of monstrosity though, wherein it's only good on like 2-3 cards.

These prerelease promos have done their job quite well, I'm now officially pumped for BTG.

I ADORE tribute. It's going to make some cool interactions for my Gahiji, Honored One political EDH.

The other one is pretty sick as well. Well, at least the particular card it's on, methinks.

I'm not sure how I feel about those. The card art shows a non-english date, but the cards are in english. Hopefully they just make a poor translation of foreign spoilers. Also, "WIld Nessian Devastator" does not sound like a name WIzards would actually put on a card. And Firestir Dragon's second ability seems really off. "Can't block this combat" is really awkward wording, and implies that it should be activated during combat, and won't work with extra combats, which Wizards would never do unless they think it would make a big difference. But I like both new keyword abilities.

smash10101. i noticed that date thing too. you think they're fakes? i was almost thinking that but i'm fairly new to magic (playing since last easter) so i don't have much previous knowledge to base a valid hypothesis as to the authenticity of the cards on that site.

i also found it strange that they would use a keyword like "inspiration" since that is a card 's name. Inspiration . it just doesn't seem to fit the linguistic strictness of the game. maybe that's just me being hypercritical of wizards on a vernacular level

The previews are translations off of a prerelease poster that was posted in Spanish.

The words and names here may or may not be correct in the English version, but the cards are indeed real.

Yeah, that website is generally trustworthy, so I figured they were just poorly translated. I just hope that then things I mentioned are fixed in the english versions.

Well, they read just as crappy in Spanish. The red dragon one indeed reads "this combat" in the original text, and it can only be used if the dragon is alredy attacking. Inspiration (in spanish) has the same name as the card as well, so if they did have another name for the english version, spanish translation team screwed up.

The translations are indeed right (at least in my opinion) and the green card will probably have a much cooler name in english, but that is indeed the direct translation. The black card should read "sacrifice another two creatures" instead of what is says, though.

In case you havent seen it yet the correct mechanic name is Inspired, so shouldn't have and issue with any prior card name. And Eater of Hope's second ability does say 2 other creatures.
