I don't usually get aboard a hype train, but:

This may just be the critical mass goblins need to break out in Modern. I would buy your Rabblemasters ASAP, because they're about to shoot for the stars- especially with this guy in standard.

Piledriver is moving fast on the web stores as well. SCG bumped the price of the original up from $15 to $25 but had already sold all but 3 copies. TCG is clearing up as well with HP conditions at $15+. New printing is going for $20, yikes.

The next two months after origins is going to be hell on wheels for anyone not playing red. Cause Piledriver kicks ass.

I almost cried a little bit (in a good way!) when I saw Sam Stoddard's article. My Goblin Burn deck is one of my longest-running personal casual decks, and the one day I got to play with my then-Standard Goblins (Pre-Rotation) deck gave me some of the best results I had ever gotten in a big event. The one factor keeping me from trying to build a Modern Goblins deck was the lack of Goblin Piledriver, so now I know what I'm playing in the near future!

In standard this guy's going to just win, but goblins seem easy enough to disrupt in modern even with this guy threatening critical mass in a hurry.

I've already updated my RDW with Goblin Piledriver and reworked it around the rabble theme. Let me know what y'all think!

Aggro is going to be a major force in Standard with this and Rabblemaster legal at the same time. I wonder what BFZ will bring to the table...

Goblin Guide in Standard would just be absurd. Everybody would just play Goblins. I certainly would. The basic shell, even without Guide, is obvious (and this would be before rotation):

There are plenty of other Goblins to pick from, like Goblin Heelcutter, Frenzied Goblin, Mardu Scout, etc. If Origins includes a reprint of Krenko's Command, shit will get super real. And while I do not find that last thing particularly likely, it is possible. Origins will feature cards from Ravnica, after all, and I think Krenko is from the place.
