So it begins. Apparently someone pulled a Portuguese Amonkhet card in a MM3 pack. Here it is.

I went 4-0 at my prerelease, playing GW goodstuff. Turns out Sandwurm Convergence is really strong in limited because there is almost no good enchantment removal in the set. Also Regal Caracal. Didn't get anything good in the prize packs or sealed pool though.

i went 3-1 with this weird jund exert -1/-1 counters. found that going even 4 color works in limited. someone i played had WUGB and was basically green black + blue white flyers. Greater Sandwurm did better than i thought it would. Liliana's Mastery was super powerful, especially in black white or esper embalm zombie tribal if you had Lord of the Accursed. for me, Insult / Injury was really good and won most of my games. (yay pulled Hazoret the Fervent in prize packs)

I went 3-1. I got little to nothing in the way of synergy for any of the draft archetypes in my limited pool so I started with Jund "Removal".
Lost my first round 1-2 by a hair but it was enough for me to cut red and go Black Green "Best I Got"
Apparently best I had was pretty good. Strategy consisted of applying as much pressure as I could. There was never a time I didn't exert my creatures.
Also Cartouche of Ambition did work for me... I pulled three of them and ran all three because I had little other options, glad I did though. They kept the God's in check (I played against hazoret twice) and more often then not removed a chump blocker while allowing me to swing the game in my favor with Cursed Minotaur or Hooded Brawler .
Swinging with 6/6 lifelink meant extering the brawler never really bit me back.
Had a lot of fun winning with zero bombs on the table. I did get the Embalm hydra but it never stuck around long enough to swing... even after embalm.

I played the friendly sealed legue on MTGO yesterday. My GF and I built 4c exert aggro with Combat Celebrant, Ahn-Crop Champion, Khenra Charioteer and Decimator Beetle. It's greedy but damn, winning a limited game on T4 is awesome.

Here's a thing: We oppened Soul-Scar Mage as well as Nest of Scarabs and blazing volley. She said it would be worth it to play all 4 cards, even though they barely do anything on there own (the other damaging spell we had was fling and i rather not fire that on creatures). What do you say, Argy? Worth it or not? (Our only 2 -1/-1 cards were the Scarab and the 3mana "Distribute 2 counters").

I won the two because I either stuck a hapatra and decimator beetle and grinded until I hit harvest for glorybringer. I had a very weak pool with no active removal so I had to sandbag a lot of my decent plays.
I got wreck by someone with double Drake Haven and 2 Renewed Faith. Couldn't beat that.

Second pre-release for me went awesome. Finished 4-0-1 (last round was a mutual draw) and split 22 packs between the two of us evenly.
Went with a cycling counter deck consisting of Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Archfiend of Ifnir and Nest of Scarabs. Man when the deck got going it was very hard to stop. My opponent in the 2nd round game 2 got starved out of mana, and by the time he started to build his board state I was already ahead. Being able to weaken my opponent's creatures and at the same time build my board state made it a tough go for my opponent. My prize packs was not that exciting.
But I am happy with what I scored
