Defiant bloodlord reminds of of Butcher of Malakir. Both 7 mana both have flying. They both have a effect that targets opponents when something happens to you. The only real difference between them is their power and toughness are switched. XD

Whenever Omnath or another Elemental you control dies, Omnath deals 3 damage to target creature or player.

So the artwork in rolling thunder for some reason reminds me of Grove of the Burnwillows.
Probably because Zendikar itself is pissed and setting eldrazi on fire.

Could be just a blind thought on my part though.

Bellock86Well I remember some of the other Zen full arts having beautiful colour contrast which make me drool everytime I look at them.
Hopefully the fat packs don't spike in price :(

Comparatively to Rampaging Baloths, Omnath isn't THAT insane. He's really cool for flavor though.

vishnarg Rampaging Baloths doesn't give your elemental tokens a lighting bolt shield. That is a pretty amazing effect for 1 more mana.

They're very similar, and Baloth's was never big in standard, so I don't expect Omnath to be. But hey, I like him.

Hey, notice how Defiant Bloodlord's flavor text is a quote from Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief.
If we're getting a new Omnath (which is sick, btw), maybe we could see either a new Drana, possibly in 
or a reprint? In that case, could there be a cycle of Allied-paired mythic legendary creatures that are all current versions of legendaries from the original Zendikar block?

Hedron Archive is a sort of weaker Thran Dynamo, but can be used as card draw late game. Not bad, I suppose.
Omnath is a nice card for EDH.

Well I couldn't wait. I already made a deck for Omnath, Locus of Rage on T/O. Interestingly enough this is the first time I've gotten excited enough about a new legendary to make a deck for them before they come out.

here's the old omnath for comparison:
turn 1 or 2 kruphix effect depending on how efficient your legacy/modern fastramp is.
The new omnath costs 7 fricking mana. With Elvish Mystic and Generator Servant rotating out of standard, how am I supposed to cast this on turn 3?
