Welcome to the Tappedout team league! This is where you can become a part of the first Tappedout Team League. What is the Tappedout Team League? It is a league where players form teams and compete. There will be 5 people on a team, one of which will be a coach. Each team will play each other team once. This will be done by each coach selecting a 1, 2 and 3 player for the matchup. 1 plays 1, 2 plays 2, etc. At the end of the season, the top two teams will play to determine the championship in Bo5. Comment below If you'd like to be a coach, or be a player and be drafted. There will be 6 teams.

Is that for magic? If so, is it for a certain format?

What Zane said. Also, is there a certain time period, deadline, etc...

I'd love to be a player. What format do the decks need to be?

What's the platform of play? MTGO? Cocatrice? Xmage or whatever else there is?

Format:Match 1: ModernMatch 2-4: StandardMatch 5: ModernChampionship: Special format of team commander.

Time Period: 2 weeks/match. On untap.in recommended, but any simulator both players agree to works. Start date is Dec. 5 if enough people sign up by then.xzzane FAMOUSWATERMELON Scytec DevoidMage

This is just a personal opinion, but I think that it would make much more sense to make this entirely one format (Standard or Modern) and maybe make the final some 2HD of some kind. Making it three different formats - including one custom one - seems like A) too many decks needed and B) just sort of confusing.

I agree with FAMOUSWATERMELON one format I'd the way to go. And I am incredibly sorry, I thought you wanted us to submit decks...I do not have time to play on any decent schedule due to my job. Unfortunately...I will have to withdraw.

I agree with Famous. I would focus on one format. Modern preferably haha. How is a coach determined?

UGAslime says... #10

Id say modern as a format then. Standard gets a little more hype than it should. Coaches are just the first 6 ppl to sign up asking to be a coach. xzzane Scytec

Hey man, I'm sorry, but I have to withdraw due to the reasons stated in my last post.

Ok Scytec thanks for your help anyways, and good luck. Also I forgot to tag FAMOUSWATERMELON in my last post

What would be the timeframe for this? I may be interested but have exams coming soon... Can it was until Christmas break to start?

November 22, 2015 2:54 a.m.

I would say after New Years is probably the best time, because for me at least, Christmas is very busy so I won't be able to get many games done.

The only thing is by the time New Years rolls around you have 2 weeks of christmas break left. However if everybody thinks that's a better timeframe than starting on the 5th ( I'm still not doing the week of Christmas) I'm willing to do it. TheHroth FAMOUSWATERMELON

I'd be down to play modern. If it's any other format (with an exception of legacy) I'd want no part though. Standard is just the worst format, and I don't play commander the same way other people do.

So basically a week and some change to learn to play on untap, got it.

Untap.in is relatively easy once you get used to it though. I highly recommend it. DevoidMage Be sure to learn the hotkeys.

If more people show interest in this, I'd definitely be up for it. It seems fun, you just need to get the support to get this thing started.

November 22, 2015 10:23 p.m.

Anybody got tokens? Or we could officially make this the 4th T/O League and Chief or Epoch could feature it on the front page. Honestly, it sounds fun, there just need to be more people.

November 22, 2015 10:58 p.m.

UGAslime says... #21

I can't do tokens. However, it would be nice if Epoch or Chief would feature it, I would love that. It would help get the support we need.

November 23, 2015 7:47 p.m.

The largest problem is that there is already a league going on. That's winding down, so I'd start this one in 2016.

I'm interested if enough other people are as well.

Would you be interested in being a coach if this kicks off Glistener?

November 23, 2015 8:07 p.m.

UGAslime says... #24

GlistenerAgent Thanks! Ill put you down. Id like to start it earlier, but if doing it then makes it bigger, I'm all for it. We'll see how much support we can get.

November 23, 2015 8:08 p.m.

I had an idea for a slight alteration of the team idea. Users would simply form teams of 3 that would play against other teams in a round-robin style (or whatever works best). That way, everyone gets to play as much as possible.

November 23, 2015 8:52 p.m.

UGAslime says... #26

GlistenerAgent The concept behind 5 on a team is that if one player is busy, it doesn't slow the league down. With 5 players, it would allow the league to run smoother and quicker. That's all. I was planning on doing a draft with the coaches like a "professional sport" does.

Is there any more interest here, or is this being postponed until later on for more attention?
