Should I go to this GP?

Hey everyone, so I won a GPT and got 2 byes for grand prix dallas. I live in missouri and it would be about an 8 hour drive. The trip in general would be a little pricey for me, meaning I would have to save a little bit to afford it or borrow money from my savings. I think I have as good a chance as others to make day 2 because I would only have to win 4 rounds most likely. The format is modern which I am not a HUGE fan of but my competitive drive really wants to go to a bigger tournament as I have not been able to get to one in a while.
What do you think? Should I go?
I feel like if you have 2 byes and you're pretty confident in your deck then you should go. Those byes actually increase your chance so much to make it to day 2.

I would be playing GR tron its kind of the only modern deck I own and I have done decently with it in the past its just been awhile since I have played with it.

Does your LGS do Tuesday Night Modern (or another regular Modern event)? If so, I'd recommend going so you can get used to your deck again

No unfortunately where I am not does not do modern. I can play on xmage and I have friends taht will play test with me I am nto super worried about that. Its a matter of money and going by myself probly

If you go, and lose every match, you'll be disappointed that you didn't perform well.

Go for it, just make sure you have a good deck first
