My Casual Topdeck Story

Hey, guys! About a month or two ago I recently started playing Magic again after 3 years. And so far this is my first (casual) topdeck story. Kinda meh but it's a first for me.

My opponent already played a Black Vise, Propaganda, Curse of the Bloody Tome and Stasis in play but he has an untapped Undiscovered Paradisethat he uses to pay Stasis. He only has the one source of mana and no creatures whatsoever on the field. He's 5 or 2 life away.

My hydras and lands were tapped out, all but my lone Roughshod Mentor.

I already tapped out all my mana sources to play Mana Reflection and I was about 4 turns away from being milled out of existence. All I needed was a forest to pay for Propaganda's cost to swing.

My turn.

Mill 2.

Draw.

Land.

How many lands did you have in your deck though? The story becomes better when it was the last land in your deck. :)

EpicFreddi, I had 23 lands and I think by the end of the game my remaining library only had something like 3 lands awkwardly placed to ensure that I wouldn't draw them soon.

So... how does Undiscovered Paradise pay for Stasis? It never gets bounced to hand, because you never have an untap step...

It enters untapped when you play it

Right, which pays once. Then gets locked down forever.
