My B-Day is in 14 days and I need advice on what to get

my 14th birthday is in 14 days and Im thinking of building a couple of modern decks with my bday cash, but is that a good choice? anything else worth getting ,booster boxes,fat packs ect?

DO NOT buy a box/packs if your goal is to make a deck. Decide on a deck or two that you want to make for modern and spend your money on making those decks.
You haven't told us your budget, but I'll assume it's substantial since you want to make a couple of decks. If you want to make something that wins go with Abzan Midrange, U/R Twin, or Affinity.

Burn is pretty cheap compared to other competitively-viable decks in modern. Either buy a competitive deck that will hold value or buy staples in Legacy/Modern/EDH.

I am thinking of burn and mono blue tron, my budget is 70-80$ (total cash 130$ as i need supplies,playmat,sleeves,deckboxes.) i dint calculate that yet but they may cost less. playmat=10-15$ playmat tube=2-5$ sleeves=7.99 per pack ultra pro satin towers =10$ each.

You don't need.... playmats... or the tube for that matter. If you are gonna get a deck box.. then get an actual good deck box that can hold numerous decks. One that looks nicer and will hold up to the test of time.
Also if you are trying to buy a modern deck for 80 bucks.. you won't get a full deck. Get the staples for a deck, that are a little more pricey.

That is the deck box I am talking about, there's numerous colors too, it can hold up to 2 edh decks, so any normal 60 card decks with sideboards are fine. It also has a compartment for dice ect ect

30 bucks, but I've had mine for almost 2 years now and it's still in great shape, and I play all the time. It has awesome texture, and it's built nice. It's not just some cardboard crap. Mats are nice, but deck boxes are better for preserving your decks.
If you go with sleeves, then get dragon shields, or something a little high end. Cut shuffling is nicer with them, and they come with extra sleeves so if something breaks or tears. It's like 104 sleeves give or take. They keep your cards really nice. Remember you are investing into modern, so cards need to stay their value more.

Honestly, burn is a good deck to get into the format with.
And yes, I would recommend building a modern deck. They don't ever rotate, unlike standard :P

vampirelazarus Birthing Pod, Jund, and Storm would like a word with you.
Modern legit has the dumbest bannings in all the other formats. We banned Seething Song because hey it was good against jund... which was the top deck at the time. We banned birthing pod.. cause.. idk it had a few show ups and wins.... ok. Mean while.. Splinter Twin ect ect still are top tier and always showing up at wins and top 8s.

KillTheIslandUser A little off topic, but if you read their logic on the pod ban, it was sound. Basically it boiled down to: Pod limits what creatures can be printed, because if any creature has too much power, pod will break it.

I would totally agree with all you guys in buying singles/staples/land if MM2 wasn't on its way. I really assume one would get more value from MM2 packs, which then can be traded for the cards in need. Of course, we don't know the value-density of MM2 yet, I'll give you that. At least wait with your decision until we know more about MM2 and keep it an option.

sergio might be right though, wait for Modern Masters 2 to come out. It might lower the prices even more, saving you more money on certain staples.

Me Im not a fan of boosters, OR waiting. But burn is my best and favored option. I will be posting my deck list for that soon.
