Mono Green Fan Club

I am thinking of starting a mono green fan club, for the people out there that just love playing green (I'm a Timmy at heart.) Really though I am interested in conversing with fellow green players to come up with inovative and stompingly good mono green decks in all formats, including kitchen table decks. So those interested message me or reply on this post and let's our green expertise to take the magic world by storm, or stomp!

Well, green is my most played color and I feel like I have expertise in the usage of green spells.

I have most recently been trying to fine tune mono green stompy for modern, taking deviations from the standard build for a more well rounded deck.

I am a bit green when it comes to modern ( haha puny I know) however I will take a look at your builds cause I am interested in making a mono green modern deck. All I have to say is welcome to the mono green fan club weisemanjohn!!! Your knowledge of the green mana in Modern is a welcome addition!

really... t-shirts...

So, you are wanting to see mono green in each format?

modern in particular most prominently features mono green with: Stompy (I have been quite successful at a local level with this one), Devotion/genesis wave, and Elves. Other archetypes that are less common are mono green infect, though it is generally considered a budget version of multi-colored variants, tron (I'm fiddling with this), and bloom titan (kind of...)

I have also been working on casual mono green EDH, one of witch is posted to this account for an enchantress deck to draw absurd amounts of cards. I also have currently built a mono green good stuff deck, though it has been tuned for rapid field expansion as opposed to my preferred playstyle of large creatures as mass removal has been prevalent in my playgroup.

Standard I have not played recently, and I have not touched legacy or vintage.

That we do their ways of combat are odd, they counter our fun stuff, and with black they kill everything. Red you have the support of green, let Atarka's Command be the weapon that we shall use against them.

This is excellent. I shall inform the goblins at once! Let us see blue deal with us combined! Spellbreaker Behemoths of the world, UNITE!

I have 2 mono green EDH decks.

My French Omnastic is one I am pretty proud of, and my more casual/budget Piano Man's Lively Brigade .

Green is my favorite color, blue is my favorite mtg color, but I love green in EDH.

Ive had this Chroma deck since Lorwyn and its always been a favorite stomper for me. I was pretty happy to see Devotion come out in Theros, but honestly I was overall very disappointed at the devotion cards that green was given. For that matter I was a little miffed that 'Devotion' was just 'Chroma' with a different name honestly.

Devotion, the Poor Mans Chroma

I do not have a mono green EDH deck, although its been something I have wanted to make for years. Ive been heavily tempted to use Omnath, Locus of Mana, as he has a fairly unique ability and lends himself well to greens favorite strategy of ramping. Still, Im not totally sold on him and am waiting for a legend to really catch my eye I guess. After all he is a fairly basic strategy really, voltron through with evasion or fallback on dropping massive critters, which is fun, but I can really do that with most decks with ramp that have green.

For legacy I used to play 8 Land Stompy, but thats been out of use for quite a while. Played Legacy Elves for quite a while before retiring them too.

Casually I play a form of Mono Green Elfball, but I dont have it up on this site yet. Maybe this will give me the incentive to do that finally. We can only hope.

I dont play Standard, but I hear Mono Green Devotion has been doing well, so thats cool. Power to the Green Party.
