Holding a campground tourney this weekend, any advice?

So, my campground that I am seasonal at is holding a tourney this weekend, and they put me in charge of running it. It's pretty casual, and I don't know what to expect for attendence, or the decks they will bring, so is there any ideas on what I should do for games?

what do you mean? what does do for games mean? what formats? all of them just pair people up or try to email people to get decks and pair them up before hand

That's going to be interesting. You might consider 4 player FFA because that tends to minimize the impact of how good/bad a particular deck is. It's also more social (good for camp).

Another thought, one of the game stores near to me does re-packed boosters for $1. If you had a budget of $3 a head you could do a crazy draft tournament (though you would need to get lands too I guess).

EmblemMan, I mean what type of games should I organize? I don't know what I want to do yet?

KUW, Dumb question, but what is FFA? I also don't know of any LGS's around there, yet.

Just got the schedule. Running one at 10 am and one at 6 pm. Sounds like a fun time for me!

Good luck with that. Do you have any more indication of what to expect yet?

The schedule says "Magic Card Tournement - All ages, Bring your cards!"

I havn't heard from the manager yet, so that's all I know.

They are holding another one again this weekend, any ideas on what I should do? Should I create a limited deck from the card pool we have, or use one of my decks?
