Fighting the urge

Today, I played in a two headed giant commander tournament. In one of the matches, my opponent played Rampant Growth and got his only foil unhinged island in the deck. I really had to fight the urge to play my Strip Mine and just blow it up on my next turn. It would have been a bad play, but would have just been really funny to do. Anyone else have any odd plays that they know they shouldn't do but really wanted to do anyways?

I was playing Planechase Commander and one of the planes did this thing where it copied a spell for every possible target. I really wanted to cast Beast Within.

I had a friend who played Serra Angels whenever he could. (Casual games) I would blow them up, I'd even keep spot removal on hand (and bigger threats on the table) just to get that Serra Angel.

It became a funny arms race: he'd tried to boost his Serra with all sorts of enchantments, I'd try to get rid of it.

There are times in multiplayer when using Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger to exile the last remaining lands of the person you've been targeting is just sooooo much more satisfying than taking out the flyers that are about to lethal you. Also, in a rematch, targeting a Stasis Snare that was containing a Thalia's Lieutenant (with 9 other humans on field) won the human player the game and me second place (he agreed to kill me last).

Play Edric in EDH.

At times i feel like getting Strip Mine or else when a certain player casts Tempt with Discovery in EDH MP. Because no matter what his 2+ lands will be, the best one will be gone. This way i've seen his Gaea's Cradle in the gy more often than on the bf.
