Ramp in Pioneer Question

Would 4 each of Elvish Mystic, Llanowar Elves, Rattleclaw Mystic, Whisperer of the Wilds be a halfway decent ramp package for a Temur Pioneer deck that wants to play 4-6 six-mana creatures?
My thought was to build the Temur clan from Khan's block using only cards from that block (and not using any cards identified with other clan symbols) with the exception of elvish mystic and llanowar elves

That’s extremely limiting yourself. Are you looking to be competitive, or is this purely fun?

A little late, but I started cutting my ramp down from 16 to 14 or 15 in my deck that tries to resolve a 5 drop on turn 3. Of course, the drops are Verdurous Gearhulk and Glorybringer primarily, which are just good card, but having the full 16 ramp pieces is a little much.
If you're down for resiliency over a small amount of flavor, Wolfwillow Haven is a pretty good card in place of a 2 mana creature that's easier to kill.

what would you want to be playing? Seems iffy as you still want creatures in the mid game to lead into the big threats. Or have more resilient ramp like land-based ramp. But prefer something other than just mana dorks to ramp as they can be killed easily.
