I've been playing on MTGO now on and off for a few years. Come up on a lot of little things that can save $$. And the more money you'll spend the less your total will be.

  1. Never Buy Anything Storefront! - Most commonly played products can be bought from Bots. Unless your purchasing some special intro deck or gimmick Hasbro is selling.

  2. Shop Bots that are reasonable - There are a decent amount of bots out there. I'm always up for new Bots that are cheap. But as a rule of thumb: shop GoatBots and sell MTGOtraders.

MTGOtraders will usually always buy rares. GoatBots usually has what you need. But some do prefer other bots. In my experience this has been most convenient and fair.

  1. Buy Foils - Foils are cheaper online usually. Goatbots has 3 bots designated for foils. Not always available. But considerably less $.

  2. Do NOT buy packs from MTGO - Again, Goatbots sells them for cheaper. Sometimes as much as a US buck.

  3. Even tix are cheaper on Goatbots - That's right. You can buy $1 tix for about $0.95. If I bought 100 tix I'm spending $95. No brainer.

Visit any major Bot website and they'll have up to date information on stock and prices.

Warning! - Keep your eyes peeled for snaky sellers/buyers. The bot that buys your planeswalker for 8 tix and then sells for 16 tix are out there. In comparison MTGOtraders to GoatBots would be 15.3 tix to 16 tix.

Have fun!
