I'm not about to spend money on MTGO. I'm an avid Cockatrice player, but I'm trying to play it at school and the socket/port is blocked by the schools internet, so it won't connect. I tried Untap.in, but I didn't really like the format. Not user friendly at all. Any other options? I've got more free time than I know what to do with.

The only other one I know of, that hasn't already been said, is LackeyCCG. I was using it over cockatrice because I like the interface better. I can't tell you if it is still a good option or not as I haven't been on it in a few months and the last time I heard anything about it the card images were bugging and needed fixing. Hope this helps and hope they fixed the bug.

WhiteEyesCloudedbyH8 I can barely afford real life cards, more or less fake ones. I'd rather save the money to play in real life.
I think used Lackey a long time ago, I'll see if I can get it going thanks for the suggestions.

Does no one read posts? He said he isn't going to spend money on MTGO.

You're always going to have problems with any client you can use for free.
Why are you trying to play MtG at school? Pay attention, graduate, and then get a good job so you can afford to play Magic in real life.

And in the chance you're just trying to play during your free period: do some homework. If you get it done now you can have more time for Magic at home where it won't be blocked.

I work the overnight shift as a security guard NobodyPicksBulbasaur. There isn't much to guard.

I really don't know why more people don't know about this program. Google OCTGN, hopefully that won't be blocked. It's like Cocatrice but harder to set up and way more user friendly.

I really like Untap.in.
You can upload decklists straight from tappedout and other deck building sites.
It's got a pretty good UI and despite being in beta and having a few bugs here it's solid.
You say it's not user friendly, but what exactly is it that isn't user friendly? All of the different buttons are explained and once you learn a few hotkeys it's great.
Remember that what your asking for is a free client to play MTG on. Your not going to get some top quality software because it's free, there's only so much they can do.

have you tried mtgo, if it connects it might be worth paying for it. even just a few budget decks.
