Ultimate reactive deck?

Hey guys

I am really new to modern and was wondering if there were any current decks that were purely reactive... that is that whenever your opponents do something you also gain an advantage

if not, what cards would you recommend.. I am aware that this is probably just a little bit of a gimmick deck but eh... I think it would be interesting

Thanks

UWR Control is the most reactive deck in Modern. It's just a pile of cheap removal spells, counter spells and a few Celestial Colonnade to eventually close out the game.

I don't think that modern is the place to play this 'strictly reactive' game. You need to make some sort of presence of your own to be able to win, otherwise the attrition decks will just tear you apart.

You can make a control deck that's mostly reactive, but you need to be laying threats of your own to get anywhere.

Playing control is cool, but it's only a tool that allows you to accomplish something. If your deck is made up entirely of counters and removal, you'll never actually win. I suppose some U/W/x variation would be the slowest possible control available. Even so, the control in the format doesn't even like to run Sphinx's Revelation becasue it's too slow. They rely more on cantrips and such.

4x Wrath of God , 4x Supreme Verdict , 4x Damnation , 4x Day of Judgment . Just figured out 1/4 of the deck right there. You're welcome.

4x Banishing Light to go along with both BLEATH and Rocknj06. Then Battle of Wits and Azor's Elocutors to close out the win.
