Returning to Modern and thinking of doing so with Tokens. My question to my fellow brewers and players is what is the viability of Tokens right now and what is the best color combo for the archetype? I know B/W is the heart of the deck but I'm thinking of going Junk. Good idea or will it be overreaching and taking away from the decks core strategy?

Perhaps, but you can't do that until turn 6 and Endbringer stops it cold.

Tokens seems pretty good actually. I'm a fan of abbey, since the plan is to grind the game out with tokens until you can either Persecution as an overrun or you have so many tokens you just win. Also, to help shore up storm, put some Ethersworn Canonists/Eidolon of Rhetorics in the sideboard.

As for Eldrazi Tron, my guess is you're just going to have to take an L. Not only are the sideboard cards pretty bad in that matchup, your deck is built for the long game amd they can grind you out harder then you can.

What about Mardu tokens? Red gives you interaction with Lightning Helix, Lightning Bolt and Crackling Doom, plus red gives you sideboard cards like Crumble to Dust that could help vs tron.

Lightning bolt is seeing record low levels of play right now and with 4 fatal push and 4 path you probably don't want it. Face burn shouldn't be a thing with this deck because you're going to be playing really slow games anyway.
On a side note, the new 3 mana black wrath card in he next set looks like it could be insanely good in tokens

BW tokens has a great matchup against most forms of death's shadow. The worst decks used to be tron, but I'm not so sure that eldrazi tron is any worse than older GR Tron lists. If you can dodge their All Is Dusts and their Surgical Extractions on your Lingering Souls post-board, I think you can stand a chance. Having 1-2 Anguished Unmaking in your 75 is a good catch-all answer to most of their threats. The only draw to green for me would be to add 1-2 sources of green mana plus a few Gavony Townships for additional pump. Other than that, green doesn't add much for my tastes.

I am reading almost everywhere that Tokens can be a very good deck in the current meta and has a lot of good match-ups, but i haven't seen one scoring well in weeks, maybe months.
I would like to explain you the reason of this, but honestly i have no clue, just hypothesis.

What would green give to the deck?
4 Fatal Push and 4 Path to Exile and 4 Inquisition of Kozilek and 4 Thoughtseize seems good right now. Blocking Death's Shadow and Gurmag Angler and Tarmogoyf also seems good right now. I could see tokens being a viable strategy. The biggest problem you'll run into is the deck isn't very fast at killing when you need to be beating Gifts Storm. Discard helps, but your lack of a clock is what will hold the deck back. Eldrazitron will be one awful matchup.
