Pod Primer?

Modern forum

Hey guys, once upon a time, someone had posted a primer for Pod decks up as an article, but I can't seem to A: find it and B: remember who posted it. Can anyone help out here?

And to validate the fact that this thread was posted in this forum:

How do you play a Pod deck? I'm looking to build a variation of Melira pod; angel pod, or whatever the kool kids are calling it these days, and need to learn how to run it.

It wasn't a Pod primer really, if was more geared towards Melira Pod. Either way, it can be found here, made by GlistenerAgent.

Melira Pod has gone out of style for the midrange style of Angel Pod. Then there's Kiki Pod, which is weird as hell, so don't play it.

I plan on running a sort of all-in combo style deck that runs the Archangel combo in addition to the melira combo just to get a feel for the deck and archetype, then plan on adjusting it according to how I like it and how it performs. It's probably just going to end up as the 2 Siege Rhino angel pod midrange deck, but its a definite eventually thing.

Kiki pod isn't that weird. It's just difficult to play, and though in the beginning when learning the deck you will lose plenty of games because you made the wrong pod chain or lost too much life off your lands, but once you know the deck and are good at it it's a very difficult deck to beat or play against.

I'll point out that I made mistakes in that primer, and since it was written a long time ago it is out of date. I'd suggest taking a look at MTGO Daily lists, etc. for a better understanding of the archetype.

Angel Pod is the best positioned version of the deck, but Kiki-Pod certainly a hell of a lot of fun to play. When you have a Pod in play in that deck, it's the best deck in the format.

After playing like 3 games with Melira pod, I've figured that I really don't like Melira in there, and I'm just going to go Angel pod. It just happens that Tolarian Community College recently posted a deck tech of sorts on the list, so that helps a bit, but it's definitely not an easy deck to learn to play.
