Magic Podcast: Feature your deck!

Modern forum

Hi! Its been a dream of mine to host a magic podcast called Deck Talk, and I've decided with the latest PT to get started. One section is looking over a user-submitted deck and reviewing it and giving an overview. If you would like to submit your modern deck, Please link it in your post. I would also like a short summary of the deck in your own words on key points and strategies. (The subject will be Eldrazi this podcast, so if you would like to submit your own, please do!)

~Thanks, MAniACK

Well, I technically have multiple decks I would like to submit, but I'll stick to an Eldrazi brew.

Description is in the deck.

It's a bit outdated, but quite fun I find :) It also loosely has to do with Eldrazi, so that's cool.

Essentially, this is a colorless Tron control deck that uses neat synergies with Crucible of Worlds and Ensnaring Bridge, and abuses board wipes like All Is Dust and Ugin, the Spirit Dragon. A full primer is in the description.

MonoBlack Eldrazi Processing Tron

The idea of this deck was to incorporate the basic strategies of both tron, and Bx eldrazi decks. This deck has seen much success online, with a 14-6 record. This deck struggles alot against burn, but that is normal for tron. Please let me know what you think!

This is my Rock deck. While once a thriving archetype, it's fallen out of favor with most of its players migrating to Jund or Abzan. The benefits of keeping things 2 color are a stronger Tron match up, more space for land destruction and a less painful mana base. The deck is designed to grind out games and has 0 impossible match ups.

My (still evolving) take on the new archetype Heartless Eldrazi..

A Midrange/Control deck that quickly ramps in huge Eldrazi that do unfair, oppressive things..

I hope to have this refined for an SCG Open in a couple weeks..

Thanks for the submissions guys! I have a lot of decks to choose from and its a very hard decision

Metroid_Hybrid Your deck is a deck that I myself am trying to make and I would like to thank you for putting this deck up because it will allow me to tweak my own before I build it.

lemmingllama This deck is pretty cool, a really fun gimmick that works, I like those.

G/W Tron if you want to talk about tron decks outside of the G/R variety. Honestly there's a lot of potential for G/X Tron decks now, since the new colorless instant speed removal lessens the dependency on Pyroclasm effects, and since the Eldrazi deck is killing decks like Zoo.

@MAniACK_Magee I find that gimmicky decks won't always win, but they are much more fun to play. Glad you like the deck.

So here are my homebrews... check out if interested.

So this is a tribal deck that functions as control - with some lifegain - early game, and produces a large force to overwhelm later.

Kiln Fiend Burn

This is a deck that I recently put together, and am getting alot of love for it. It is really cheap, and really fast.

The idea, when looking at the list, becomes very clear... smash face. Fast.
