Any one else hyped for this? It clearly obsoletes Tectonic Edge and quite possibly Ghost Quarter. Time will tell but it mana fixes in addition to land destruction and triggering Fatal Push.

Thoughts?
I could see Field of Ruin edging out Tectonic Edge in modern because it doesn't restrict when you can use it, but Ghost Quarter not requiring mana and hitting any land makes it more versatile and less likely to be replaced.

It might work really for maxing Hedron Crab landfall effects. Play and crack a fetch, tutor a land, then sac Field for another basic and you mill 9. Then play more mill cards. Add a Fraying Sanity and that's an easy 18 from landfall alone. I think I'm going to go brew.

It will definitely be in contention for any deck thinking about land destruction, but I don't think it obsoletes either Ghost Quarter or Tectonic Edge. Ghost Quarter can hit basics, and TecEdge can cut your opponents off colored mana. That said, it's definitely a good card. We'll see which decks end up trying it.

I think Ghost Quarter will be okay because it doesn't cost anything to activate. It might supplant Tec Edge, though.
