Bitter Ordeal. Note that it doesn't say from play, so dredging works just fine. Ideas??
P.S: I'm not asking this to try and break open modern anything or anything, I just want to make an extremely Johnny, Combo Player like deck.

Notice that it says "permanent", not "card". Dredge doesn't count towards Gravestorm.

I ran a Bitter Ordeal combo in my Sharuum the Hegemon EDH. That's the only real viability I've seen.
All you need is Sharuum and Phyrexian Metamorph copying her. It creates an infinite loop of artifacts going to the 'yard.

what I meant was that I thought that dredging lets say, a land into our yard counted towards the gravestorm count

Cards are not technically permanents until they are on the battlefield. So, dredge doesn't work b/c the land never has a chance for the game to consider it a permanent. If that makes sense.

To fully specify, a card is a "Card" while in zones other than the stack and battlefield. It's a "Spell" only when on the stack. And it's a "Permanent" only while it's on the battlefield.

Play Bitter Ordeal in Eggs, instead of Grapeshot.
It's really easy to win with once you get Open the Vaults/Faith's Reward going with Conjurer's Bauble.
Even more hilarious, Psychogenic Probe hits them hard with only a gravestorm count of 9. Easy to pull off with Krark-Clan Ironworks.

I don't play Dredge, so bear with me here. I think the deck has better things to be doing than milling you out. Dredge works really well right now without it, and I don't think it needs it. But like I said, I don't play Dredge, so I wouldn't know.
