I'm building a red white deck based on dotp 2012's weilding steel list and i realise that the deck could do with a 1 of bombshell to make or break the game should it reach late game (looking at you control) what should i be looking at for this?

He gave you exactly what you were asking for...

I'm not sure what more you could want out of a thread like this.

Restoration angel with 4 toughness and flying is usually a pretty massive threat. Out of bolt range, out of abrupt decay range and flies straight over goyf etc.

A classic one is Akroma, Angel of Fury . With pro blue and white she's made for the control match up. A lot more cmc expensive than resto angel and will be a dead card in your hand more often but if you do get her out you will win unless they doom blade or something.

ChiefBell nice suggestions but resto wouldn't help the deck much and akroma is well out of the mana range of my boros weeny deck

So.... 4 or 5 mana in red and/or white. Potentially game ending and actually useful?

3 toughness could be an issue, although otherwise it looks legit.

Currently top end of the deck is Batterskull but can push to 6 mana at best

6 mana let's you play akroma for her morph cost but batters kill Is really really good.

(For those who dont know/too lazy to look it up) weilding steel is an"equipment matters" deck that focuses on the kor, i'm focusing on a creature that is hard to kill (like Etched Champion ) or possibly a 5/6 drop that is difficult to deal with

Those are both fantastic shouts. Go for the hell kite because it's somewhat unblock able.

Hero of Bladehold , Hellrider and Thundermaw Hellkite are probably the most explosive you can get.

The hell kite is probably the best one at pushing damage through. Compared to hellrider it has flying and taps down all possible blockers. Also with a toughness of 5 it's harder to disrupt.

Would Iroas, God of Victory be usefull? I didn't view your list.

he loses his usefulness to me the moment he's a creature Path to Exile see's to that

August 17, 2014 1:58 p.m.

Same can be said of most creatures. Stormbreath Dragon ? Thundermaw is probably better though.

it's why my main wincon is fully equipping my Etched Champion protection from all colours in a deck running 20 artifacts (11 equipments, 1 mox opal, 4 Etched Champion and 4 Darksteel Citadel )
